How are Web Pages Evaluated for the Guides?

Authority

Authority: Information presented is reliable, valid, and authoritative. Facts should be impartially presented by a reputable organization or expert. Sources of information are stated and the information is verifiable. Watch out for bias.

Participants rate the web page for the following criteria:

Poor Fair Good

i. Page fails to provide contact information (name, address, etc.) of organization responsible for content

i. Page provides contact information (name, address, etc.) of organization responsible for content and/or provides method to contact organization if desired.

i. In addition to providing contact information and a means to contact the organization, the organization publishing the content has a good reputation, credentials, and is recognized as a leader in the field.
